Letters to the Community

The Food Truck Rally

I just want to say THANK YOU to everyone that helped with the food truck event at the square this weekend. It’s such a breath of fresh air to see life happening in our beautiful downtown on a weekend evening.

I know there were some misfires between the weather, vendors, and music. But I want to applaud those that made this happen. From the team at the city government to the merchants and the food trucks themselves – thank you! Thank you for taking the chance on an idea, that turned out pretty great in my opinion.

We need more events like this throughout the year. It doesn’t have to be just big festivals like the Host of Christmas Past and the Slawburger festival. Smaller, one-night happenings like this one helps everyone in our town. It just takes all of us working as one community.

So bravo to those that made this happen. I’m eagerly awaiting the next one!

  1. I second all of Mike’s comments. Even with the few no shows, I think it was still a successful evening. My children and I certainly enjoyed ourselves.

We eat local, Edz Wingz, then enjoyed dessert at food trucks!!! Seen lots doing the same. Can’t wait until next month.
