With Host of Christmas Past in our rearview mirror, it’s officially the holiday season for our town. From the lights in Stone Bridge Park to the Christmas tree on the square, it’s that most wonderful, and slightly frenetic, time of the year.
As we’re doing our holiday shopping this year, I want to encourage everyone to shop locally first. When I shop at our local merchants, I know my money is staying right here in our community. I’m supporting friends and neighbors that will turn around and buy from others locally. We all want less empty storefronts and more local businesses filling downtown and other parts of our county. Our purchases help merchants put food on their table while keeping our local community growing and thriving.
You’re not going to find that big LEGO set that everyone’s after or that special-order gadget in our downtown stores. But you will find lots of unique and special items that make the perfect Christmas gift for those on your list.
This Christmas, shop locally first. Just imagine the difference it’ll make in our community.
