Community Features

One Year In

A year ago, I launched the Fayetteville Weekly. There wasn’t a big team behind it. No advertisers or investors. Just me, a laptop, and a microphone showing up and asking questions.

A year later, over 8,000 people have joined our podcast community and we’re making things happen. You’ve heard from candidates that were running in the local elections. You’ve listened to community members putting in the work to move us forward. And you’ve seen what goes on in public meetings like the County Commission and the city Board of Mayor and Aldermen.

The Weekly is just getting started. In 2019, you’ll see more interviews, more in-depth explainers, and more context so that you’re smarter and better connected with the community. If you’re able to, pitch in and support the work to keep it all going.

Thank you for supporting the work here. Thank you for taking your time to listen to the podcast, read the articles, and share it all with your friends and family. Fayetteville and Lincoln County moves forward because you put in the work alongside all of our neighbors.

Happy New Year and here’s to an even better 2019!
