I want to say thank you to Chris Mitchell, the Parks and Recreation department, the aldermen, and all of the volunteers that made the lights at Stone Bridge Park happen. My daughter and I have walked through the park at least once a week since the lights went up. Seeing the sparkle in her eye and hearing her laughter makes every visit special.
It’s events like these that make me proud to be part of our community. And to see the new soccer complex and possibly a new rec center – it’s just great to see our parks and recreation growing.
So thank you to everyone that came together and made these lights happen. I’ve already told family and friends to make plans on stopping by the park before Christmas!
